Sherene
and Todd's Wedding
April
12th, 2008
|
![]() Our Story:Sherene and Todd met on the Internet in November 2005. He canceled their first date because he had a sore throat and didn't want to get her sick. When he rescheduled he changed it from a lunch date to a dinner date at a restaurant in Beverly Hills on Sunday night. On the date they discovered how much they had in common, including that they went to the same summer camp as kids. Todd called Sherene the next day and asked her out for Saturday night. The rest is history. Why New Orleans:Todd and Sherene have traveled many places together in their two years of dating. They have only been to one place repeatedly and that's New Orleans. On their repeated trips to"The Big Easy"they became enamored with the music, the food, the culture, the people, and the history. It made them fall in love with each other even more. In addition, they wanted to support the city in its recovery effort. Things to Know:We would like all of you to join us for our wedding. New Orleans is a wonderful town. Whether you want to hear the many historical tales, eat an array of cuisines, or dance to a variety of beats, you can do it all in New Orleans. We even made it easy for you because April 11th-13th is French Quarter Festival (www.fqfi.org/). It's a FREE, local festival in its 15th year. There will be many stages (walking distance from the hotels) for you to hear a lot of music and many booths to try different food. If live music isn't for you, how 'bout a Swamp Tour, a cruise on the Mississippi, or a Guided History Tour of the Garden District? Just leave some energy to dance the night away at our wedding! How Todd Proposed: Sherene and Todd took their first international trip together in September to Ireland. They had a wonderful trip, seeing castles, the Irish countryside, and the insides of many, many, many pubs. Their last stop was Dublin. Two days before flying home, Todd ordered in room service for breakfast. When Sherene opened up the tray there was a bowl of raspberries, her favorite. But, her excitement didn't compare to her emotions when she discovered the diamond ring inside the fruit bowl. Todd got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. They spent the last two days in Ireland walking on Irish Air. |
